Student at Bournemouth University
Media Production | Bournemouth, United Kingdom, GB
Since filming school productions at secondary school sparked an interest in filmmaking, I learnt my craft by studying in full-time education at College and now I have taken my studies even further, studying Television Production at Bournemouth University, all the while gaining valuable experience at organisations, charities, production companies and as a freelancer, working on video and photographic content.
Through this I have become proficient in skills such as Camera Operation, Vision Mixing, Directing, Producing and editing. As an editor I am able to use many pieces of software including Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro and the Adobe Creative Suite. As a camera operator I am experienced working in studio, outside broadcasting and on location environments with a wide range of cameras, from Canon and Nikon DSLRs to HD cameras such as the Sony PMW-EX3, Sony HVR-Z7E and Panasonic AG-AC160 and more recently, steadicam operation with the Glidecam HD-2000. I am also an experienced photographer, having undertaken various photography projects and assignments alongside my video work, with experience in using Canon cameras in particular and editing using Aperture and Adobe Photoshop.
To support my studies I work part-time as a Production Manager & Technician at the Student Union's Nightclub and Music Venue, The Old Fire Station, which has given me experience and knowledge in areas such as live sound, lighting, stage management and rigging staging/lighting setups.
My wide-ranging knowledge, experience and skillset allows me to apply myself to all kinds of projects and situations and I feel this makes me a valuable team player. I am looking to gain more experience and work within the media industry whilst I continue my studies at University, in order to pursue a career in TV after graduation.
